Old Boys' School - Football Club

Following their education at the school for older boys in the Watford Road, the pupils were given the opportunity to join a youth football team. The village at this time had very little to offer young boys of this age to occupy their leisure time.
 
It is believed Neggy Wilson the headmaster started and encouraged this venture. However, there has not been any evidence to show how the club was organised or the teams that they played.
